When Life Gets HECTIC...

TLDR: When life gets hectic, it’s hard to keep track of things. Time, yourself, friends, family, work, all the things. Sometimes you have to pick one or two things to focus on and keep yourself moving forward and just do the best you can before you can start focusing on other things again.

Hi! It has been a couple of months since I posted a blog for you! I’m sorry I have been MIA for some time! I wanted to get back on here and just give a quick update on some things that are happening!

Life tends to get crazy and sometimes it feels very overwhelming when trying to take care of everything! I am so grateful to say that my clients at Live Without Limits have been absolutely crushing their goals and their treatments! We have a significant amount of people right now who have been participating with the assisted stretching program for self-care, we have people crushing it in physical therapy and getting back to workouts, playing with their kids, working without pain, and just overall making big gains and differences in day to day life! We have people on our monthly wellness schedule who are doing SO well that they are now doing check ins and tune ups with us to make sure that they are not having anything new pop up and we are in the PREVENTING INJURIES phase!

I could talk all day long about all of these amazing clients and all of the hard work they are putting in! I am truly so proud of them and they make my day every day!

One thing that I always talk to my amazing clients about is self-care. It may not seem like self-care is a part of physical therapy, but it definitely is! In order to heal physically from any aches and pains and/or injuries we have to make sure we are taking care of our whole selves, mind, body, physically, mentally, nutritionally, spiritually (however that may look for you!) and in every way possible. If we aren’t taking care of our whole selves, something is going to get missed and we may not heal as quickly as we normally could or would.

One of the things that people often have to do, and it’s one of the hardest things to do, is to pick and choose what they can focus on. We want to be able to do everything all of the time, and yet, we can’t. So sometimes that means, putting our attention and focus on specific areas and knowing that we will get back to the other stuff when we are ready.

For me, the last couple of months, I finally took my own advice and have been doing that. I have been overwhelmed with some personal life changes, trying to make some AMAZING and EXCITING business changes to make LWL even better for you, and just life in general. So I finally realized I can’t focus on everything at once, hence, taking a brief hiatus from writing a weekly blog for you. As much as I struggled with it, I needed to take the time to make sure that I was taking care of my mental health and that has been my overall focus these last couple of months.

And that’s okay! Sometimes we have to be selfish so that we can make sure our cups are full so that we can give back to others and do the things that we enjoy and love in the ways that we want to. And mental health is CRITICAL. If we are not well mentally, whether it’s stress, fatigue, exhaustion, burn out, anxiety, depression - it looks different for everybody - it starts to cause difficulties in other areas of our lives as well. So I have been taking the time to focus on my mental health and take care of myself over these past few weeks.

I want to say thank you for your patience with me as I know I haven’t been as present in my blog and my social media posts and education for you during that time! I am still working on my mental health and making that a priority, and I am getting to a point where I can start to be more present here as well! So stay tuned for more posts here and on Instagram for more education and PT/health tidbits and wisdom!

We will be talking about piriformis syndrome (something people come to me for a lot!), having a “team” of people to help you in life, balance, different areas of pain in the body, flexibility, mobility, strength, and SO MUCH MORE!

If there is anything specific that you would like to learn about, comment or email me and I am more than happy to talk more about it!

Thanks for being here!
